The Tea Room is situated in the Durham Dales Centre Courtyard. There is seating inside for up to 75 people and all size parties can be catered for (coach parties most welcome). On fine days you can enjoy eating outside on the picnic tables either side of the Tea Room, with the front ones specially designed for wheelchairs.
Whether you are on a coffee stop or would like a lunch the tea room can cater for anyone's needs. The menu has something for everyone. Everything is homemade and baked on the premises ranging from toasted sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes, pies, quiches, pasta dishes, and Yorkshire puddings. To finish off the perfect meal you can then indulge yourself by trying one of our speciality sweets from the chocolate cake to lemon meringue pie, the choice is endless.

A special feature of the Tea Room is a series of interesting murals depicting local scenes and events.
