Reiver Country Books is local to Weardale publishing a series of books including County Durham Aviation Stories Volumes 1 & 2. County Durham has a rich aviation history and these books tells the stories of aircraft crashes, engagements with enemy bombers and other aviation-related events that have taken place in the county or near its shoreline. The second book includes the crash of the Spitfire above Stanhope in March 1942.

Just For Women
Just Handmade is a creative studio in Stanley, County Durham, part of the Just For Women Centre. The small manufacturing unit produces Bespoke Home accessories along with gift and children’s/ladies accessories. It employs local women and a band of fantastic creative volunteers who all handmade individual products. The sales of all the items is put back into the organisation to help those with mental health issues, support people to learn new job skills and gain employment in a creative environment.
